Eastern Airways has launched the routes Aberdeen - Bergen and Newcastle – Bergen. Norwegian will start with additional morning departures from London / Gatwick to Bergen, and from March 2010 they will open new routes from Barcelona, Rome, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Tromsø. Wizzair has also start direct flights from Gdansk, and will start between Krakow and Bergen 28 March.
Eastern Airways has two daily departures from Aberdeen on weekdays, at 08.40 and 13.15, arriving in Bergen at 11.10 and 15.45.
Departure from Bergen will be at 12.00 and 16.15, arriving in Aberdeen at 12.30 and 16.45. On Sundays, departure from Aberdeen is at 14.30, arriving in Bergen at 16.50.
The return flight to Aberdeen departs from Bergen at 20.00, arriving in Aberdeen at 20.20. The Newcastle - Bergen route runs from Monday to Friday, departing Newcastle at 10.30 and arriving in Bergen at 13.35. Norwegian is targeting tourism in western Norway and the business market from Bergen by adding an additional aircraft and six new routes from March. The new destinations are Copenhagen, Stockholm, Barcelona, Roma, Chania-Crete and Antalya in Turkey. There will also be more departures to London, as well as to Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia. There will be daily departures to Copenhagen and Stockholm on all weekdays as well as Sundays. From Rome the departures will be Thursdays and Sundays, and from Barcelona on Mondays and Fridays. There will be one departure a week on Saturdays to Crete and Antalya. Norwegian will increase the number of flights on its London-Bergen route from ten to thirteen a week from winter 2010. This route will operate two daily departures from Monday to Friday and on Sunday. From 29 March, Norwegian will start direct flights between Tromso and Bergen during the week. Wizzair started direct flights between Gdansk and Bergen on 18 December 2009. The route runs Monday and Friday, with departure from Gdansk at 19.15, returning at 21.40. The route Katowice / Krakow - Bergen will start 28 March, and will be operated Wednesdays and Sundays. Departure from Krakow is at 18.35, returning at 21.20. www.wizzair.com
