Use of fireworks on New Year's Eve in Bergen

According to police regulations for the City of Bergen, it is illegal to burn off fireworks. The prohibition applies to the entire municipality of Bergen. It is given exemption for the launch of the official fireworks from Tollbodkaien.

Fireworks (Class I and II) can be used within the area if there is no danger of fire or injury. Fireworks Class III are permitted in areas of the promenade road along Lungegårdsvann and along Nordnes. Use of fireworks is permitted only on New Year's Eve between the hours of 18:00 and 02:00.
