Bergen and the surrounding area offer a wide range of sports and recreational activities. Bergen's seven mountains offer many opportunities for walks in the varied mountainous and forested terrain.

Mount Ulriken

Fløyfjellet (399 m) and Sandviksfjellet (418 m) are good paths and hiking trails starting from Øyjord, Munkebotn (at the Old Bergen), or Svartediket / Tarlebø. Download a free map here.
Ulriken (643 m) ascended easiest starting from Montana Hostel or with Ulriksbanen. If you want a longer walk you can follow the trails north to Vidden and come down on Fløyen or Svartediket.
At Løvstakken (474 m) there are good paths from Løvstakkveien, Fjøsanger and Fyllingsdalen. Paths from Fjøsanger starts in Langeskogen forrest, one of Bergen's most beautiful natural areas. From Lyngbø the hiking trail goes to Lyderhorn (396 m).
Gullfjellet funnels is a popular recreation area in summer and winter, starting from Totland, Bontveit or Gullbotn.
