Fresco Hall - Tourist Information

The old Bergen Exchange, containing the Fresco Hall, was built in 1862 and extended in 1893. The North Sea Trafficking Museum of Telavåg - War Museum

The tragedy of Telavåg was connected to the North Sea Traffic. A few people had crossed the North Sea to Great Britain, mostly to Shetland, already by the summer of 1940. This developed eventually into organized traffic on both British and Norwegian sides. Refugees left in boats from the west coast of Norway and agents on special missions returned from Shetland. The exhibition shows various aspects of this traffic. "Shetland Larsen" took part in the North Sea Traffic. The exhibition tells about his experiences during the Second World War and his civil life.

Leprosy Muesum, St. George's Hospital

St. George's Hospital was a hospital for lepers from 1411 to 1946. The Leprosy Museum shows how leprosy became a serious health problem in some areas of Norway during the 19th century, and also how the patients lived at the old hospital.

The Western Norway Emigration Centre includes the emigrant church, Brampton Lutheran Church, brought over from North Dakota in the USA and an emigration archive for Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane.
