Alvøen Country Mansion

The mansion is the nucleus of the idyllic old village of Alvøen. Dating from 1797, the building was the residence of the Fasmer family. It contains a collection of furniture, silver, porcelain and textiles, surrounded by a charming garden and park.

This lovely 18th-century manor house is erected in the 1770's. Damsgård Manor is considered as Europe's best preserved wooden building from the 18th century. The garden is preserved as to the fashion of the time.

Fantoft Stave Church

The old stave church at Fantoft, originally built in Fortun in Sogn in 1150 and moved to Fantoft in 1883, burnt down on 6 June 1992. Fantoft Stave Church has been rebuilt exactly as it was before the fire.

Old Bergen Museum

Open-air museum with more than 40 wooden houses, representative of Bergen architecture and interiors in the 18th and 19th centuries. The houses provide a picture of life in a small town with its houses, various shops, a baker's, barber's, dentist's etc.
