Welcome to two intense weeks of Nordic impulses. Over 150 events every year in the fields of music, ballet, opera, theatre, dance and the performing arts.
Bergen became a European City of Culture in the year 2000. And understandably so! Bergen has a wide variety of events ranging from “high” culture to lively football matches. Experience one of the world's oldest symphony orchestras, a professional ballet company, an exciting jazz and blues scene, several theaters and concert halls, outdoor summer opera and various festivals.
